Fall 2011

Crunchy leaves, apple cider, and pumpkins. Shades of golden, red and orange with sporadic hints of stubborn greenness and summer heat. Fall festivals – apple donuts, apple pie, apple slushies, hayrides, corn mazes and happy children. Sweaters, bonfires, and toasty blankets. Warm toes. Roasted apples, roasted marshmallows and singing. Palms warming cold, pink cheeks. Hand warming hand.

I’m so giddy in love with Fall right now. :)

With my hands stuck in the front pocket of my hoodie, I close my eyes, draw in a deep breath of crisp chilly air and listen to the gentle rustling of leaves. I feel a chill down my spine. I can’t help but feel like I never want to leave.
